Hi there, I’m Elena.

I’m a freelance writer and communications strategist, spending most of my time in the world of social impact communications. As a consultant for nonprofits and philanthropic organizations, I primarily focus on democracy issues and protecting local news.

On the side, I’ve written about pop culture, wellness, political races, gender, and a little bit of everything in between. My writing has been published in Esquire, Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue, Glamour, NBC News, InStyle, and more. Prior to freelancing, I got my start in digital media as an assistant editor for Esquire.com at Hearst Magazines.
